Ebay, like most web sites, is always growing and changing. This makes it difficult for us to give you all the specific links on the site map that you should click and read. What we give you today may be out of date next week or next month. However we can give you directions for what to look for and from there you can see where to go to get the information you require. At the same time we will provide you some of the basic links, that see little change, to get you started.
This is a good point to remind yourself as you read, listen and watch the education presentations available through eBay make sure to take notes, write your questions down and review review review.
You may have heard the saying, “Repetition is the mother of learning” and while that is true we would like to change that to “Spaced repetition is the mother of learning". This may sound a little wild, however when you are learning something new, you are “growing” your brain. You are creating new brain cells, connections and neurons. This brain growth does not happen all at once. It takes place over time and only when you're using that gray matter!
Growing your brain through learning is much like growing the rest of your muscles by working out. When you work out hard you are tearing down your muscle cells and encouraging greater re-growth. It takes a couple of days for those muscles to grow back and repair, but when the muscles grow back they are a little bit bigger and stronger, better ready for the next time exertion is made. Over time the muscle gets much bigger and stronger and a number of other improvements take place. The key point is, this growth takes place over time. There is no instant path to muscle growth and pushing too hard all at once can actually cause growth to slow down rather than speed up.
Something similar takes place with the brain. You read something you are not familiar with and not a lot is remembered. However if you review the information in the next 24 to 48 hours you will not only recall what you had read previously you will also reinforce that information in your brain. You do it a third time and you will reinforce that information further and your recall of it will significantly increase. Teach what you have learned to someone else and your recall, understanding and assimilation will start to go through the roof! Just like building your muscles through spaced work outs, you are building your brain and your ability to remember, recognize and recall information when you really need it!
