Make Money With eBay Guide

This article is intended to teach about the different types of eBay auctions. Please leave us comments, questions, or success stories so that we can improve this guide.

eBay is a great place to sell just about anything. Real Estate is an exception. Due to a variety of state laws governing the sale of real estate, eBay auctions are not legally binding contracts.  A Real Estate auction is meant to drive traffic to your real estate web site, nothing more.

Be careful when you are thinking about including any Real Estate auctions. Check other auctions for similar Estates and check the HELP area on eBay to ensure you are compliant with their rules and regulations. When in doubt, ask. You can always write the ebay technical support team for further information or clarification.

Items that are on auction now are the most obvious to research. Put the keywords into the search field on eBay and click search. This will bring up a list of auctions going on presently. Go through the listed auctions and find items that are similar to what you plan to auction. There is a lot of information here that you can use.

Timing and prices are two key elements to successful auctions.  In order to time your auction right, look on eBay for the same item you are selling.  Find out when those similar auctions are closing and be sure to not be caught in the middle of those similar auctions.  Wait for a time when your item will have less competition. Before listing your item, type your item in the search box and then scroll down and under “Search Options” click “Completed Listings” then click “Show Items.” This will show completed auctions with those same items you just typed in the search box.  You can sort these items with most expensive first or least expensive first. This should help give you an idea of the final selling price for your item.

As soon as you are a registered member of eBay you have the ability to track items.  For example, say you want to buy a new tennis racket, and there are three that catch your eye. All you need to do to track these three items is click on “Watch this item.” This will pull up those three items in you’re my eBay page. This allows you to keep a close eye on the items you want without the hassle of searching through hundreds of items. You can watch up to 100 items at a time.
