If you really want to catch the eyes of thousands of people guaranteed, place your item on eBay’s home page. This sweet feature comes with a price of course, for one item, $39.95.

Ending your listing early

There might be circumstances in which you need to end your auction early. To do this you must first cancel all bids, then you need to click “end my listing early.”

Choice auctions

A choice auction is an auction listing a variety of items that gives the winning bidder a choice of items, sizes or even colors. This type of auction is forbidden by eBay.

Featured plus

Featured plus is a great tool to use if you would like your item to get lots of looks. It costs $19.95 for a single item, however; it places your item at the top of any search for items with your key words in the title.  Remember it is likely other people will also use this tool so be prepared to share the top of the listing space.

Buy it now

The buy it now feature is great for those buyers who tend to shy away from auctions. Just like it says, they buyer can buy it now at the stated buy it now price. The buy it now will disappear once someone places a bid that exceeds your reserve price.  You can not use the buy it now feature when doing a Dutch auction.  Another interesting fact about the buy it now feature is it is only available to sellers with 10 or more feedback or are ID verified.

Insertion fees

Your insertion fees are based on the higher of two numbers, the reserve price or your minimum opening bid.  There are lots of different listing fees.  To see the different insertion fees go to the Help screen and type “insertion fees” in the search box.  You can then select the most informative link.
