Oh, the power of the English language! Listing products is truly being able to excite the customer through your promotional words. These words are almost more important than the products price point. When listing, be sure that you know exactly what the product has to offer. Be able to describe it to a tee and be as truthful as possible. As much as you want to entice the customer you also want them to know exactly what they are getting. So do NOT alter the authenticity of what the product truly is.

So, where do you begin? Create a title for your listing that is bold. If the product is new, write NEW. If the product is genuine, state GENUINE. Words are definitely the force behind the selling of any new, old or refurbished product.

Secondly, take pictures of the product that best represent what is being sold. It’s important to create a staging station in your home or office that displays the product in a nice way. Generally, using a white or black background works best for picture taking.

Thirdly, create a description of the item. Often times, this can be completed with a little research on the internet. Depending on the item, there are a variety of pieces of information that should be added (ex. Clothes – size, color, material, condition etc. Electronics – brand, dimensions, material, accessories, batteries etc.)

Last but not least, decide on a price point for your product. Remember that you are generating revenue, so you must increase the amount by a certain percentage that allows you to make a profit.

Once you get the hang of the language and the listing process, creating a listing will become second nature. As well, the more you complete the task the easier the task will become.
